Momentous

Well we've made it through yet another first. Believe it or not, in the past 21 months, I have not spent the night away from my Parker. Monday we, along with the church staff, headed out to Gateway Church for a pastor's conference. It was Monday- Wednesday. I was without Parker for 3 days and 2 nights. Ugh. We both survived and did really well:)- I'm glad to report! The conference was awesome. Great words of encouragement, and great inspiration. And she was spoiled all 3 days by Mimi, Papa, Grammie, and Poppie. So glad for grandparents that are so close and so willing to help. Of course who wouldn't want to keep my cutie?!

It's been so great to be back home, however. Parker's feeling good too. Its so great to squish her, kiss her, and laugh with her all day again. I missed that for sure. Glad it was only 3 days, and so very thankful for the time I had with my precious husband, and loving Lord.

I had some pictures from about 2 months ago that I've been meaning to share, and thought that since I didn't have any to go along with this post, that I'd end with that! Hope you enjoy these from the day I walked into an almost naked baby after naptime. She cracks me up...

Can you see her pants on the rail, and her socks on the floor?

And, yes. Her shirt is around her waist. Hmmm....
She was very proud of herself.

Cora Playground

Well, baby Cora is still on my mind. Her and her sweet parents. I got on their site today, and found a link to etsy.com that took me to a page of things made just for her. Tons of people have joined together to make all sorts of things and they're donating the money to the Cora Playground fund. Cora's mom and dad are building a playground in her name at their church, and all the proceeds from these etsy items go directly to them. If you feel so inclined, click on the pink button on my page, shop, buy and pray for this family. They need it.

The Tooth

Last week Parker was playing on the fireplace. She likes crawling up on it, and sitting against the screen. It's funny, 6 months ago this thing was covered and any time Parker got close to it, we watched her like a hawk, and now here we are letting her crawl all over it! And, yep, turns out we were smarter 6 months ago:).

I was standing right beside her, when she sort of slipped and fell off the fireplace. She ended up with her face facing the bricks, and I never saw her hit anything, but she cried like she was really hurt. So I hugged her, and kissed where she pointed, and consoled her until she calmed down. Thought all was just fine until I saw it...

I know, its blurry, but its there. Her left front tooth...chipped. My beautiful baby, flawed by life forever....or at least until she loses that tooth:). It's small, but there. Oh well. She's still beautiful, and I'll never think she's flawed. hehe

Crawling back up to try again. Ugh...

The McClenahan's

Some of you may have seen a post I made on Saturday night. I came across another blog about a week ago about a family with a little girl diagnosed with cancer just about 2 weeks ago. I put a link to their site under my link list, and I was asking everyone to pray for her.

She went to be with Jesus Sunday. She was 11 months old. Please pray for her very sweet mom and dad. I can't begin to imagine their grief. You can click here to see their page, or click on their link in my list. Its tough to read, so be ready...
